Bill Lafferty‘s 30 plus years of experience in Law Enforcement and Public Safety began as a U.S. Air Force Security Police Specialist. He currently has over 22 years of experience within Higher Education. Fifteen of those years have been spent at Gettysburg College where he is the current Associate Dean of College Life and Executive Director of Public Safety. Bill’s responsibilities include: direct strategic management oversight of all public safety operations, sexual violence response and investigation policy and protocol development, emergency operations management, behavioral threat assessment, the management and oversight of all institutional Clery compliance requirements for the college, and management of student life development areas including: Greek Life, Student Activities, and Experiential Education. He has a BA from Eastern University in Organizational Development and an MS from Villanova University in Criminal Justice Administration. Bill is also the current Vice President for the Northeast Colleges and Universities Security Association (NECUSA).
