Bill Taylor is the President of IACLEA. He has served as a law officer since 1972, beginning as an officer at Arizona State University (ASU). From 1989 to 1993, he served as Chief of Police for the Arizona State Capitol. From 1993 to 1999, he served as Chief of Police at Washington University in Saint Louis. Before coming to San Jacinto College, he served as Chief of Police and Director of Public Safety for Rice University from 1999 until 2011. He has served as president of the Texas Association of College and University Police Administrators, and the Houston Area Police Chiefs Association. He has served for the past six years as IACLEA’s Southwest Region Director. Taylor holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, and a master’s degree in public administration from ASU.
