Joseph C. Storch, Esq.

Joseph Storch is an Associate Counsel at the SUNY Office of General Counsel and Chair of its Student Affairs Practice Group. Joe has trained several thousand higher education professionals and organizations on the Clery Act and related obligations.
Joe co-coordinated SUNY’s 2014 uniform sexual violence prevention policies workgroup and assisted the Governor’s Office in drafting legislation. In 2014 he received the Commissioner’s Award from the NYS University Police, and in 2015 NACUA awarded him its First Decade Award.
Joe graduated Summa Cum Laude from SUNY Oswego, has an M.P.P. from the University at Albany and a J.D. from Cornell Law School. After law school, he clerked for the Appellate Division, 3rd Department.
His writing has appeared in the Chronicle, Inside Higher Ed, the N.Y.U. Journal of Intellectual Property & Entertainment Law, the Albany Times Union, the Orlando Sentinel, the Albany Law Review, the Medical Trial Techniques Quarterly, Court Review: the Journal of the American Judges Association, and he has authored seven peer-reviewed NACUA Notes
